Proven Competitiveness in the North American Market
Surpassed 1 Trillion KRW in Annual Sales Last Year
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Seoyoon] Doosan Bobcat is entering the European agricultural and landscaping equipment (GME) market based on proven competitiveness in North America.
Doosan Bobcat announced on the 3rd that it will launch about 10 models of its representative GME product, compact tractors, in the European market for the first time.
These products will be delivered to dealers in Italy. Starting with compact tractors, products such as lawn mowers will be introduced sequentially.
GME is a new business for Doosan Bobcat. Last year, annual sales exceeded 1 trillion KRW.
Doosan Bobcat first introduced compact tractors in the North American region in 2019. The following year, it launched lawn mower products and has been continuously expanding its lineup.
Doosan Bobcat's GME products have rapidly grown in the North American market based on brand power and product quality. Recently, it invested a total of 70 million USD (about 85.8 billion KRW) to expand the production line at its Statesville factory in the United States.
A Doosan Bobcat official said, “Since first showcasing compact tractors to the European market at the Bauma exhibition in Germany last October, we have received pre-orders exceeding 100 units from Italy, the United Kingdom, Poland, and Benelux,” adding, “We will continue to expand the GME business, which surpassed 1 trillion KRW in global sales last year, and aim to double its size by 2027.”
