Mr. A is accused of killing his mother, who lived with him, at his home in Muan-gun around 3 p.m. on the 22nd of last month, which was Lunar New Year's Day.
Immediately after the incident, he reportedly called the 119 emergency center and reported that "my mother is not breathing," while concealing the details of the crime.
The police initially received the case as a natural death but identified signs of homicide, designated Mr. A as the prime suspect, and continued the investigation to secure evidence.
The police converted Mr. A to a suspect, made an emergency arrest, and obtained an arrest warrant from the court.
Mr. A denies part of the crime.
The police plan to investigate the motive, considering that the crime was committed impulsively due to his mother's scolding.
