Department of Physical Therapy at Dong-Eui University Obtains Accreditation from Korea Physical Therapy Education Evaluation

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] The Department of Physical Therapy at Dong-Eui University recently received an "accredited" rating by being evaluated as excellent in curriculum and conditions in the "2022 7th Korean Physical Therapy Education Accreditation Pilot Project."

This accreditation evaluation was conducted by the Korean Physical Therapy Accreditation Institute of the Korean Physical Therapists Association, and the accreditation period is two years from January 1, 2023, to December 31, 2024.

The Korean Physical Therapy Education Accreditation is a system that comprehensively evaluates items such as ▲vision and operational system ▲curriculum ▲students ▲faculty ▲facilities and equipment ▲educational outcomes to advance domestic physical therapy education, standardize curricula, and unify academic systems. The results are given in stages of accreditation, conditional accreditation, or non-accreditation.

Professor Kwon Hae-yeon, head of the Department of Physical Therapy at Dong-Eui University, said, "This accreditation recognizes us as an educational institution with excellent educational conditions that systematically trains true physical therapists," adding, "We will do our best to nurture professional physical therapists equipped with the best scientific expertise and clinical practical skills through education leading innovation in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution."

The Department of Physical Therapy at Dong-Eui University recorded a 100% pass rate for two consecutive years in the "Physical Therapist National Examination" conducted by the Korea Health Personnel Licensing Examination Institute in 2021 and 2022.
