[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education conducted a regular personnel reshuffle on the 2nd for 2,566 education officials (78 kindergarten teachers, 1,428 elementary school teachers, 936 secondary school teachers, and 124 education specialists).
This personnel reshuffle focused on equipping the driving force to realize the educational vision of the 4th direct election term, "Innovative Inclusive Education Opening the Future Together," and to achieve the educational indicator of "Creative and Warm-hearted Global Democratic Citizens," in line with the organizational restructuring scheduled for March 1.
In particular, the Office of Education plans to strengthen future talent development by establishing a Career and College Admission Division within the Education Bureau to enhance career, college admission, and employment education.
Kim Jong-geun, Director of the Education Bureau, said, "The reorganized organization as of March 1 focuses on field-oriented personnel appointments to realize Gwangju education where diverse skills become the future," and added, "We hope that the expansion of exchanges between education specialists and field teachers will help settle educational policies for nurturing future talents and transforming Gwangju education at the school level."
