Gwangju National Science Museum to Conduct Safety Inspection for AI Exhibition Hall Opening in March

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] The National Gwangju Science Museum announced on the 2nd that it has completed a preliminary inspection for the safe and comfortable operation of the Artificial Intelligence Hall, scheduled to open in March this year.

On the 2nd, Deputy Director Jeon Tae-ho and the responsible staff completed a thorough inspection of all areas for comfortable and safe operation, including the installation status of exhibits in the Artificial Intelligence Hall, preparation for visitor explanations, review of building use approval and various building certifications, and facility safety checks, and shared the progress.


The Artificial Intelligence Hall was established so that citizens can easily understand the concept of artificial intelligence, research achievements, and the future life that AI will change through hands-on experiences.


With a budget of over 6 billion KRW for the production and installation of AI-specialized exhibits and the construction of the exhibition hall, construction began in April 2021 and after two years of work, it is set to open in March.


Meanwhile, the Gwangju Science Museum is showcasing AI in daily life ahead of others by broadcasting about 10 songs composed by EvoM, Korea's first AI composer, starting this month.
