Gwangju Seo-gu, WalkOn 'February 200,000 Steps Walking Challenge' Operation

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, will operate a 200,000-step walking challenge throughout February to promote daily walking practice.

According to Seo-gu on the 2nd, to participate in this challenge, install the WalkOn app, join the Gwangju Seo-gu walking community, select 'Participate' in the challenge window, apply, and after achieving a final total of 200,000 steps based on a maximum of 12,000 steps per day, press 'Submit'.


Seo-gu plans to draw 300 winners from the applicants and award mobile gift certificates.


Also, during the challenge period, participants who post a certification photo will be entered into a draw for 10 hiking backpacks. Those wishing to participate in the event should post a certification photo on their personal Instagram, Facebook, or blog with the hashtags (#GwangjuSeoGuHealthCenter #GwangjuSeoGuWalkingChallenge) and write the URL link on the WalkOn Gwangju Seo-gu walking community bulletin board.


A Seo-gu official said, "We hope that through the February walking challenge, people can enjoy both health and fun," and added, "We plan to operate various walking challenges throughout the year via the WalkOn app."


Meanwhile, Seo-gu operated a walking challenge last year, attracting a total of about 18,000 participants and gaining enthusiastic responses, with the community membership reaching 9,000.
