IMM Inve, Hosts 'Healthcare Day' with Domestic and International Medical and Pharmaceutical Experts

[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] IMM Investment, a domestic venture capital (VC) and private equity fund (PEF) management company, announced on the 2nd that it held the ‘IMM Healthcare Day.’


At the event, representatives from 12 digital healthcare portfolio companies gathered to share each company’s business direction, the outlook for the healthcare industry in 2023, and investment strategies. In addition, various experts from the healthcare industry, including university hospitals, screening centers, medical device companies, insurance companies, and domestic and international investment institutions, participated to explore collaboration opportunities with IMM Investment’s portfolio companies.

Jung Il-bu, CEO of IMM Investment, emphasized in his speech the importance of synergy effects created through collaboration among portfolio companies in the healthcare sector and value enhancement through close cooperation with industry experts. Moon Yeo-jung, Managing Director of IMM Investment, shared the vision for the medical industry and the investment philosophy and direction for healthcare.


The portfolio companies introduced their respective business areas and future plans. Professor Kim Su-jeong of Yongin Severance Hospital, who participated as a speaker, presented the hospital’s stance and plans in preparation for the digital transformation of the medical industry, providing insights to many startup companies attending the event.


Kang Sung-ji, CEO of digital healthcare company Welt, which attended the event, said, “Today’s event was a great help as it provided an opportunity to share real experiences of other CEOs,” and added, “I hope IMM Healthcare Day will continue to develop as a gathering place for the top companies in the healthcare field.”


Meanwhile, IMM Investment plans to continue investing in the healthcare sector based on its expertise and is preparing to launch the Smart IMM Salus Venture Fund No. 2 by the end of March this year.
