Integration of 'Open-field Smart Control System' in Farm Management
Commercialization of Farm Management Solutions Followed by Exports
First Harvest of Contract-grown Potatoes Expected as Early as April
Aiming to Expand Global Market and Realize 'Precision Agriculture'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] Green Labs Financial announced on the 2nd that it will export and officially launch a farm management solution that integrates the ‘Open-field Smart Control System’ into the data-driven farm management service (DFMS) in Nepal.
This export of the farm management solution was made to maximize local farming efficiency after Green Labs Financial’s subsidiary Green Labs FIC introduced the data-driven farm management service (DFMS) in Nepal last year.
Results are expected as early as April. After the first phase harvest of up to 1,000 tons of potatoes, the plan is to successfully complete logistics and distribution locally.
The Open-field Smart Control System is a smart agriculture solution developed by Green Labs Financial’s subsidiary FIC to precisely control open-field crops. It is highly evaluated for its efficiency. One open-field control device can control six pumps, supplying only the necessary amount of water and fertilizer when needed. Additionally, the equipment can be moved to required locations to enable irrigation and fertilization at the right place and time. This method can reduce costs by about tenfold. It even generates its own power through solar energy, eliminating the need for electricity supply.
Kim Chan-ho, CEO of Green Labs Financial, stated, “A groundbreaking data-driven solution that maximizes agricultural productivity has been created through the combination of Green Labs Financial’s finance and Green Labs FIC’s technology,” adding, “We will widely provide precise entrusted management services through the farm management solution and rapidly realize ‘precision agriculture’ to ensure sustainable food security.”
