[Asia Economy (Seongnam) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Seongnam City in Gyeonggi Province is offering free rental of interview suits for job-seeking youth.
Seongnam City announced on the 2nd that it will carry out the 'Youth Dream Suit Project' this year, which lends jackets, pants, skirts, shirts, blouses, neckties, belts, shoes, etc., for up to 5 times per person, each time for 3 nights and 4 days, to youth aged 18 to 39 residing in Seongnam who have upcoming interviews.
The city has allocated a budget of 45 million KRW to promote this project. It also designated two suit rental companies for interviews: 'Swan J' near Pangyo Station and 'Splendino' near Baekhyeon-dong Cafe Street.
To rent interview suits, applicants must register as job seekers on 'Worknet,' the employment information system of the Ministry of Employment and Labor, and then submit interview acceptance documents (such as interview date text messages or emails) to the Seongnam Job Center on the 2nd floor of the City Hall.
Afterward, they can visit the designated rental companies and select the complete set of suits needed for the interview.
