Born in Andong, Gyeongbuk, Chairman Lee currently serves as CEO of Sambo Motors, vice chairman of the Daegu Regional Council of the National Unification Advisory Council, director of Daegu Technopark, and director of the Gyeongbuk Cultural Foundation.

Chairman Lee said, “Upon hearing about the Hometown Love Donation System, I donated with a heartfelt affection for my hometown,” adding, “I hope the Hometown Love Donation becomes a driving force for regional development and contributes to revitalizing the local economy.”
Lee Cheol-woo, governor of Gyeongbuk, expressed gratitude, saying, “We thank Chairman Lee Jae-ha for willingly donating to promote hometown love,” and emphasized, “The establishment of the Hometown Love Donation System is necessary to open a successful era of local autonomy,” urging expatriates to show great interest and promote the system.
Implemented for the first time this year, the Hometown Love Donation System allows donations up to 5 million won annually to any local government nationwide regardless of address. Donations under 100,000 won are fully tax-deductible, and amounts exceeding that receive a 16.5% tax credit. Donors can receive thank-you gifts worth up to 30% of their donation amount.
