Provincial Library Namdo Hwarang Hosts Exhibition Themed "Colored with Colors"
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] The Lifelong Education Center (Director Lee Jin-hyung) at Mokpo National University (President Song Ha-cheol) is holding an exhibition of works by adult students with disabilities enrolled in the Western painting course from the 27th of last month to the 2nd at Namdo Hwarang on the first floor of the Jeonnam Provincial Library.

According to Mokpo National University on the 1st, this exhibition, held under the theme "Colored with Colors," is part of the lifelong education program for adults with disabilities operated with support from the Mokpo National University National University Promotion Project, featuring over 50 Western painting works on display.
This exhibition is particularly meaningful as 16 students who participated in the Western painting course at the Lifelong Education Center of Mokpo National University are exhibiting works they learned and personally painted over the past year.
The Western painting course for adults with disabilities has been operated since 2021 through mutual cooperation between the Lifelong Education Center and the Jeonnam Association of Persons with Physical Disabilities.
Especially at the opening ceremony of this exhibition, the Jeonnam Association of Persons with Physical Disabilities recognized the contribution to revitalizing lifelong learning for adults with disabilities in the region and improving the quality of life for persons with disabilities, awarding plaques of appreciation to Director Lee Jin-hyung of the Lifelong Education Center at Mokpo National University and Western painting instructor Park Dong-seon.
Director Lee Jin-hyung of the Lifelong Education Center at Mokpo National University said, "Since 2020, the Lifelong Education Center at Mokpo National University has been operating various lifelong education programs in cooperation with local disability organizations, including home baking, harmonica, woodworking, drones, and 3D printing courses, in addition to the Western painting course. We will continue to strive to activate lifelong education for adults with disabilities as a regionally focused national university."
