Damyang County Council Opens First Extraordinary Session of 2023

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] The Damyang County Council in Jeonnam announced that it opened the 317th extraordinary session, the first session of 2023, on the 1st.

This extraordinary session will start with the 1st plenary session on the 1st and continue until the 10th, during which it plans to review the major work plans for 2023, the 2022 administrative audit, the actual condition survey of subsidy support projects, the handling results of issues pointed out during on-site inspections of major construction sites, the action plans in response to 2022 county government questions, and various ordinances.

There are 13 ordinances submitted to the extraordinary session for deliberation: 5 including the "Ordinance on the Full Revision of the Damyang County Council Members' Policy Development Research Activation Ordinance" by the Council Operation Committee; 4 including the "Ordinance on the Prohibition of Discrimination against Persons with Disabilities and the Protection of Human Rights in Damyang County" by the Autonomy Administration Committee; and 4 including the "Ordinance on the Provision and Support of Smoke Evacuation Masks for Fire Evacuation in Damyang County" by the Industry and Construction Committee.

Chairman Choi Yongman said, “With the severe cold wave and the 'heating cost bomb' situation, residents are facing economic difficulties these days. We will do our best to make this year a happy one for residents through communication and cooperation between the council and the executive branch.”
