Hwasun-gun Recruiting 'Jeonnam Youth Culture Welfare Card Support Project Operators'

Support of 200,000 KRW for Cultural Welfare Expenses for Youth Aged 19 to 28

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Chunsu Kim] Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 1st that it will recruit candidates for the ‘Jeonnam Youth Culture Welfare Card Support Project’ for youth residing in Jeollanam-do throughout February.

This project provides 200,000 KRW annually to support cultural life enjoyment and self-development opportunities for youth living in Jeollanam-do, such as attending performances, taking academy courses, and purchasing books, helping the younger generation to settle down.

Eligible applicants are youth aged 19 to 28 (born between 1995 and 2004) who have continuously resided in Jeonnam with an address registered before February 1, 2021, for more than two years.

However, public institution employees receiving welfare points (cards), out-of-school youth education allowance recipients, and Jeollanam-do female farmers and fishermen happiness voucher recipients are excluded.

Those eligible for the Munhwa Nuri Card support will receive only the difference of 90,000 KRW after deducting the 110,000 KRW Munhwa Nuri support fund.

The application period is one month from the 1st to the 28th, and applications can be submitted online via the Nonghyup Card website or by visiting the administrative welfare center in the applicant’s jurisdiction.

Confirmed candidates will be notified in April after verifying eligibility, and those applying for the project for the first time in 2023 must receive a new card.

Applicants who received support funds in 2022 must also apply for the 2023 project to receive support, and after confirmation, the funds will be automatically recharged to the previously issued card, so there is no need to issue a new check card.

The check card can only be used offline at designated affiliated stores within the province for cultural activities or self-development such as attending performances, taking academy courses, traveling, and using sports facilities.
