Airport Railroad Resumes T'way Air Check-in Service at Seoul Station

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Airport Railroad announced on the 1st that T'way Air check-in at Seoul Station City Airport Terminal has resumed after 2 years and 10 months.

Accordingly, from this day forward, T'way Air customers can check in at Seoul Station City Airport Terminal in advance when using international flights except for the Americas, Guam, and Saipan.

Seoul Station City Airport Terminal provides specialized services for direct train passengers, allowing check-in and immigration inspection in advance for international flights departing from Incheon Airport operated by Korean Air, Asiana Airlines, Jeju Air, and T'way Air.

Baggage checked in at Seoul Station is transported to Incheon Airport by direct train and loaded onto the aircraft. Passengers who have completed check-in and immigration inspection at Seoul Station can proceed to the departure hall through the dedicated City Airport Terminal entrance at Incheon Airport without waiting separately.

The check-in service at Seoul Station was suspended in April 2020 when the operation of the airport direct train stopped due to the spread of COVID-19.

With the resumption of direct train operation in May last year, Korean Air and Asiana Airlines restarted check-in services at Seoul Station, and Jeju Air resumed services on selected routes in November of the same year.

An official from Airport Railroad stated, "Seoul Station City Airport Terminal is the only place in Korea that provides advance check-in services," and added, "We plan to continuously expand check-in services for airlines in the future."
