Busan Office of Education Holds In-Person Special Lecture for Employees After 3 Years

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education will hold face-to-face special lectures for employees, which were suspended due to COVID-19, for the first time in three years.


The special lectures will be operated as a professional education program inviting prominent figures from various fields to enhance employees' self-development abilities, work efficiency, and the quality of public service.

The first special lecture of this year will be held on the 2nd at 9:30 a.m. in the main auditorium of the Metropolitan Office of Education, inviting instructor Choi Tae-sung to speak to about 500 employees. On this day, Instructor Choi will give a lecture on the theme "History is the Humanities of Meeting People," discussing how to live a once-in-a-lifetime life.


Choi, a Korean history instructor at EBS, has authored numerous books including "The Usefulness of History" and "Big Star Teacher Choi Tae-sung's Various Korean Histories." He has also appeared on several broadcasts such as tvN's "Naked History" and KBS 1TV's "History Journal That Day."


Ha Yun-su, Superintendent of Busan Metropolitan Office of Education, said, "This special lecture will be a valuable time to strengthen the humanities capabilities of public officials and nourish their minds with the spirit of 온고지신 (On-go-ji-shin, learning from the past to develop new ideas)."
