"1+1 with GS Pay Payment" GS25, GS Pay Transactions 9 Times Higher Year-on-Year

GS Retail's convenience store GS25 announced on the 1st that the number of transactions using its own payment system, GS Pay, increased approximately ninefold compared to the same period last year as of last month.


GS Pay is a simple payment system launched by GS Retail in August 2021. Customers only need to register their credit card or payment account once on GS Pay to enjoy convenient shopping across all GS Retail brands with a single click. Additionally, when paying with GS Pay, customers can benefit from 2% GS&POINT accumulation, discounts on promotional products, and spectacular monthly events.


According to data analyzed by GS25, the cumulative number of GS Pay transactions in 2022 increased by 350% compared to the previous year, showing significant monthly growth, with January this year seeing an increase of over 780% compared to the same period last year. Notably, the ‘Great and Sufficient GS Pay’ event held monthly has greatly contributed to driving GS Pay’s performance at GS25.


‘Great and Sufficient GS Pay’ is a monthly event where about 10 products offer additional benefits such as buy one get one free (1+1) and point payback when paid with GS Pay, along with various other promotions. Due to loyal GS25 customers and those who actively use GS Pay, sales of these event products increased on average from 8 times up to 22 times compared to before the event.


In February, GS25 will continue the spectacular ‘Great and Sufficient GS Pay’ event. When paying with GS Pay, customers can enjoy a 10% point payback on Won Soju Spirit and 1+1 promotions on 10 popular products including Hot Six, Jolly Pong, Hershey’s Cookies & Cream, and Rose Buldak Bokkeum Myun.


GS25 plans to further strengthen GS Pay’s discount promotions and shopping benefits, expand partnership areas, and accelerate efforts to secure exclusive customers through the activation of its own payment system.
