[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] The Pohang Youth Foundation Youth Sexual Culture Center has planned the ‘6th Sexual Education Activist Training Course’ to discover talents interested in youth sexual education and sexual culture among Pohang citizens and provide opportunities for professional instructor activities.

This training course is designed to produce professional and practical local sexual education instructors and will be held from March 6 to 10, consisting of a total of 10 sessions and 24 hours of training.

The education is structured to equip participants with basic qualifications through fundamental education and practice, including understanding of sexuality and checking sexual cognitive sensitivity, understanding children and adolescents and sexual counseling intervention, the role and attitude of sexual education instructors, and understanding school violence and digital sexual violence, enabling them to be deployed and active in the field.

After completing the training, participants will be appointed as sexual education activists for 2023, undergo instructor training, and have the opportunity to participate as child and adolescent sexual education activists at the Pohang Youth Sexual Culture Center.

The recruitment quota is 25 people (preference given to those with related certifications or graduates of related departments), and the training fee is 150,000 KRW. Anyone with an associate degree or higher who is interested in child and adolescent sexual education or wants to work as a sexual education activist in Pohang can apply.
