The 1st prize for the 1052nd Lotto draw included three winning tickets sold at the same store, and a post verifying the winner has attracted attention.
According to Donghaeng Lottery, the 1052nd Lotto draw held on the 28th resulted in 11 first-prize winning games. Among these, three games were sold at a lottery retailer on Cheomdan Jungang-ro in Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju.
On the 31st, an online community related to Lotto posted images of the first-prize winning lottery tickets from the 1052nd draw along with a transaction confirmation from NongHyup Bank.
The poster answered the reason for purchasing the lottery ticket in the 'Lottery Survey' form, which NongHyup Bank requires when paying out winnings, as follows: "First priority was because people around me bought it, second was out of curiosity, and third was because I had a good dream."
Regarding why they chose the winning numbers manually, they said, "I just put in any numbers that came to mind," adding, "Usually, I pick five tickets with the same numbers, but this time I tried two tickets with different numbers."
When asked specifically about the dream they had, they replied, "I usually don't dream much." They also revealed the lottery tickets they purchased. All five games were bought manually, and among them, three won first prize. The remaining two games won third prize, drawing attention.
The first-prize amount for this draw was 2,341,682,762 KRW, and the third-prize amount was 1,467,220 KRW. The total winning amount reached 7,027,982,726 KRW, truly a jackpot. Meanwhile, the actual amount the poster received was 4,742,717,816 KRW after deductions for income tax (2,077,513,560 KRW) and local income tax (207,751,350 KRW).
Meanwhile, the lottery fund, raised from Lotto sales, is used as resources for the Housing and Urban Fund, Veterans Fund, Cultural Arts Promotion Fund, and public interest projects such as support for families of adopted children, treatment and rehabilitation support for children in welfare facilities, and scholarship programs for low-income groups.
