The education voucher support project, introduced for the first time this year, will provide tuition support for 150 elementary, middle, and high school students from basic livelihood security recipients and near-poverty households. The support covers subjects excluding Korean, English, and Math, such as arts and physical education, vocational skills, and second foreign languages, with the city covering 50%, affiliated academies registered in Suncheon covering 35%, and students bearing 15% of the costs.

Through the business agreement, Suncheon City and the Academy Association agreed to collaborate on ▲ project promotion and recruitment of affiliated stores ▲ guidance and management of students ▲ collection of performance data and identification of areas for improvement to ensure the success of the project.

The city will recruit affiliated stores until the 13th of next month and plans to continuously recruit affiliated stores so that students can broadly select their desired academies and courses.

A Suncheon City official said, “We hope that with the participation of various academies in the city along with the Suncheon Academy Association in the Suncheon City education voucher support project, it will greatly help expand learning opportunities for students from financially disadvantaged families.”
