[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Incheon Technopark (Incheon TP) is conducting a demand survey for the 'Incheon-type Specialized Robot Demonstration Support Project' until the 28th of next month.
The target areas are five fields: logistics robots, entertainment robots, artificial intelligence (AI) edu-robots, bio-robots, and collaborative robots.
Based on this demand survey, Incheon TP plans to assist commercialization such as technology development, performance improvement, design, operation program development, and demonstration of robot products suitable for the needs of various demand sources including robot manufacturing companies and companies/institutions intending to introduce robots.
To this end, Incheon TP will select 5 to 6 projects this year, supporting up to 150 million KRW for logistics robots and up to 60 million KRW for other fields.
Previously, through this project, Incheon TP has supported various robot demonstrations such as goods and medicine delivery, medical waste transport, drum robots, performance robots, guide robots, and quarantine robots.
An Incheon TP official said, "The use of service robots is increasing not only in industrial sites but also in daily life," adding, "We expect that the Incheon-type Specialized Robot Demonstration Support will help improve the competitiveness of products and companies and expand the distribution of robots."
