[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi-do Province published on the 31st the "Collective Building Management Manual and Guide," which will serve as a guide for managing collective buildings such as officetels and commercial buildings.

The newly published management manual is composed of ▲ Collective Buildings and Our Lives (Part 1) ▲ Solutions for Management Disputes (Part 2) ▲ Commentary on the Collective Building Act (Part 3) ▲ Glossary of Collective Building Terms (Part 4).

Additionally, the guide includes examples of legal forms and practical forms necessary for procedures such as convening meetings, resolutions of meetings, applications for temporary manager appointments, collection of overdue management fees, contract signing methods, and bidding announcement documents.

Gyeonggi-do plans to distribute 1,000 copies of the comprehensive collective building management manual and guidebook to departments in charge of collective buildings in cities and counties, as well as collective building management associations.

Previously, to resolve and prevent disputes in collective buildings, since June 2013, the province has operated the "Collective Building Dispute Mediation Committee," a forum for dialogue and compromise between parties involved in disputes, and since March 2016, the "Collective Building Open Counseling Office," a free legal service through pro bono lawyers.

Also, since March 2020, the "Collective Building Management Support Group," a visiting on-site free advisory service composed of lawyers, accountants, and housing managers, has been in operation.

Ko Yong-soo, Director of the Architecture and Design Division of the province, stated, "We expect the manual and guide, which are comprehensive guidelines for collective building management, to greatly help in preventing and resolving disputes in collective buildings," and added, "We will continue to develop and improve the currently operating public services to establish a transparent and efficient collective building management culture."
