Yeongam Office of Education and Yeongam County Office Discuss Regional Education Cooperation Plans

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jun-kyung] Yeongam Office of Education and Yeongam County Office announced on the 30th that they held the ‘2023 Yeongam Education Administration Council’ to discuss local education cooperation measures.

The ‘Yeongam Education Administration Council’ is a consultative body operated to improve local educational conditions and realize the development of Yeongam education, such as fostering outstanding local talents, through communication between local governments and the Office of Education.

On this day, the council discussed activating the rural student boarding project by improving living conditions for rural student boarders, fostering future talents to inherit Yeongam’s representative traditional culture and arts, and establishing the Yeongam Future Education Center for creative convergence education in the local education community.

Woo Seung-hee, Yeongam County Governor, said, “Youth-friendly policies and education to respond to local extinction share the same direction,” and added, “We will cooperate mutually to create favorable conditions for raising children so that they do not leave Yeongam due to educational issues.”

Choi Kwang-pyo, Superintendent of Education, stated, “Based on the discussions at the council, we will do our best to ensure that Yeongam education, which opens the future, is carried out solidly.”
