On the 30th, Pohang City conducted the "January 2023 Free Legal Consultation Service for Citizens" at the City Hall Free Legal Consultation Office.

On this day, the city’s legal advisor, Attorney Jung Hwa-sung, provided consultations to nine citizens. The main consultation topics were civil issues commonly arising in daily life, such as real estate lease, compensation for damages, and family matters including family relations and divorce.

Since March 2011, the city has been offering free legal consultations to support citizens who are relatively vulnerable in legal areas such as civil, criminal, industrial accident, and family law. Approximately 200 citizens use the legal consultation service annually.

Any Pohang citizen can apply for a consultation. After making a reservation by phone, they visit the legal consultation office at City Hall at the designated time and have a face-to-face consultation with Pohang City’s legal advisor attorney.

Citizens who find it difficult to visit in person can receive assistance through cyber consultation. By writing a consultation post in the cyber consultation section on the city’s website (Website - Together with Pohang - Legal Consultation - Cyber Consultation), an attorney responds online.
