At the deliberation meeting attended by about 10 agricultural machinery experts, discussions were held on the selection of models for purchasing 63 agricultural machines for rental business and farm work delegation, as well as measures to revitalize the farm work delegation and rental business.
In addition, through in-depth discussions on delegation fees, labor costs, and other matters related to the farm work delegation task force, such as summer forage harvesting delegation, practical benefits were provided to farmers, and fairness and transparency were enhanced by setting appropriate labor costs for workers.
Park Se-il, chairman of the County Rural Leaders Association, said, “The agricultural machinery rental business and farm work delegation task force are essential projects for creating sustainable agriculture and rural areas,” and urged, “Please actively promote the projects for agricultural development.”
The county currently operates 832 rental agricultural machines of 22 types at four rental offices and is implementing a 50% discount on rental fees until June.
While preparing last year's project evaluation and improvement plans, the county plans to operate a solid rental business this year by extending the 50% rental fee discount and additionally operating farm work delegation for rice bean harvesting.
Last year, 135 hectares of farm work delegation were safely carried out, and especially this year, to improve food self-sufficiency and stabilize rice supply and demand, a farm work delegation team for rice bean harvesting will be newly established and operated.
Through this, it is expected to greatly help farmers using rental agricultural machinery reduce management costs and further contribute to revitalizing the rural economy.
This year as well, efforts will be made to ensure the operation of the farm work delegation task force to resolve rural aging and labor shortages on farms.
County Governor Shim Min said, “This year, we will actively respond to the difficulties and demands experienced by farmers in the field and operate an efficient agricultural machinery rental business,” adding, “We will do our best to create a stable agricultural environment by reducing the burden of purchasing expensive agricultural machinery.”
