Park Spokesperson: "Employees Also Laughed at the Bear Photo"
Hundreds of bear photos captured by a wildlife observation camera installed in a protected area in Colorado, USA, have become a hot topic.
On the 29th (local time), according to foreign media such as the British Guardian and the American CNN, staff at Boulder Mountain Greenbelt Park, a nature reserve in Boulder, Colorado, were surprised when they recently checked the motion-detection cameras for wildlife observation within the park. Unlike usual, hundreds of photos had been taken, and most of the subjects in the photos were black bears.

The bears in the photos seemed to be aware of the camera, looking directly at it or slightly turning their heads to the side. Some were even caught sticking out their tongues. A total of 580 photos were taken in one day, of which 400 were bear 'selfies.'
The observation cameras are installed throughout the protected area to monitor the wildlife living there, set to record videos and capture photos whenever movement is detected.

The park officials said that while various wildlife such as coyotes, beavers, and pumas are often captured, they usually ignore the cameras and just pass by, but this black bear was different.
Philip Yates, spokesperson for Boulder Mountain Greenbelt Park, said, "It seems the bear showed special interest in one of the wildlife cameras, resulting in hundreds of 'selfie' captures. The staff burst out laughing when they saw the bear photos, and I think others who see these photos will feel the same."
Netizens who saw the photos reacted with comments such as "Hire the black bear as the park's mascot," "So cute," and "It seems the bear knows how to take good photos."
