KT M Mobile Launches Affordable LTE Flip Phone 'Pantech Folder 2'

[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Su-yeon] KT M Mobile announced on the 30th that it has exclusively launched the practical LTE folder phone ‘Pantech Folder 2’ targeting teenagers and the silver generation.

Although major manufacturers such as Samsung have recently stopped producing folder phones, demand for folder phones continues among teenagers and silver customers who feel burdened by the high cost of purchasing smartphones, as well as students who only want basic phone functions such as voice calls and text messages. KT M Mobile released the ‘Pantech Folder 2’ reflecting customer needs in collaboration with Two Number.

The newly launched Pantech Folder 2 is characterized by its product design and functions tailored to the characteristics and requirements of users based on a proven Pantech model, while enhancing price competitiveness. The device specifications include a ▲3.5-inch screen ▲130g weight ▲Android operating system (OS) support ▲8-megapixel rear and 2-megapixel front cameras.

Additionally, it is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor, 2GB RAM, and a large 32GB memory, allowing worry-free usage without capacity concerns. An additional 32GB external memory can also be used. Furthermore, it features a 0.91-inch front LED that allows users to check the time, incoming number, and battery capacity on the external screen. The network supports LTE (Long Term Evolution) and VoLTE (Voice over Long Term Evolution), enabling internet browser use and providing clear, uninterrupted voice and video calls.

The Pantech Folder 2 is available for purchase at KT M Mobile Direct Mall and authorized dealers. When using youth and silver plans such as ▲LTE Data Budget 30 Minutes (8,800 KRW) and ▲Youth Safety 10,000 (13,200 KRW), the monthly cost including device installment (based on 24 months) and plan can be used for around 10,000 KRW per month.
