Subway announced on the 30th that it will raise the prices of some products by an average of 583 KRW starting from the 1st of next month.
The price adjustment applies to a total of 75 items, including 17 types of 15cm sandwiches, 17 types of 30cm sandwiches, and side menus. Prices for beverages and some set menus will remain unchanged.
The average price increase by product category is 583 KRW for 15cm sandwiches and 982 KRW for 30cm sandwiches, with an average price increase rate of 9.1% for the sandwich product group.
The amount to change from a 15cm sandwich to a salad will increase by 100 KRW, from 1,700 KRW to 1,800 KRW.
A Subway representative stated, “As the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic combined with the Russia-Ukraine war continues to accelerate international inflation, the burden of raw material and logistics costs, as well as various expenses such as minimum wage, exchange rates, and electricity, gas, and water bills, are all rising consecutively. We kindly ask for your understanding as we have inevitably decided to adjust prices to prevent the deterioration of profitability for franchise owners, who are small business operators.”
