Firefighters used lift equipment to raise the vehicle in order to cool the burning battery and control the flames, then sprayed water.
The fire department stated, "As the battery continued to burn, about 6,000 gallons (22,712L) of water were sprayed to extinguish the fire," adding, "Fortunately, there were no injuries."
The fire department said it was a sudden combustion event, and no abnormal signs were detected before the ignition.
