President-Affiliated Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Labor Union Chairperson from Pohang
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] On the 26th, the Pohang City Hall Labor Union appointed Choi Byung-wook, Chairman of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Labor Union, as the Policy Advisory Chairman as part of efforts to promote the development of the labor union and Pohang City and to establish win-win measures for the local community.

Choi Byung-wook, appointed as the Policy Advisory Chairman of the city labor union, is from Pohang, Gyeongbuk, and served as the 7th to 9th chairman of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Labor Union. He is also active as an advisory member of the Economic and Social Labor Committee under the President.
Policy Advisory Chairman Choi Byung-wook stated, “I will do my best to help the Pohang City Hall Labor Union develop further through various policy developments so that the labor union can have a positive influence on the local community through the labor movement and continue to grow.”
Jang Cheon-wook, Chairman of the city labor union, said, “This appointment will be a good opportunity to establish a foundation for enhancing the rights and interests of union members, developing the labor sector, and cooperating in harmony with Pohang City. We will work together to improve the quality of life for workers.”
The Pohang City Hall Labor Union continues activities to support neighbors in need in the local community through the Love Sharing Volunteer Group’s home repair events to foster a culture of donation in the community.
