Woori Bank Holds First Half Management Strategy Meeting... Announces Five Major Policies

[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Je-hoon] Woori Bank announced on the 29th that it held the '2023 First Half Management Strategy Meeting' on the 28th at KINTEX in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi Province, attended by about 1,300 executives and employees including President Lee Won-duk.


At the meeting, President Lee stated, "We must overcome the difficult external environment and respond agilely to the rapid changes in financial trends," and announced the management goal 'Touch Everyone, Connect Everything,' expressing the will to create a trusted bank that moves everyone's hearts and to expand the financial ecosystem by connecting with various industries.



He also presented five key management directions that Woori Bank will focus on this year: ▲Customer Move ▲Tech Advance ▲Biz Growth ▲Culture Innovation ▲Risk Control.


Meanwhile, the event featured diverse programs such as announcing the management plan through an AI banker using a virtual human and introducing employee participation events. In particular, all employees were able to participate in real-time remotely via the bank’s own media platform, Channel W.


A Woori Bank official said, "This event was a meaningful declaration of management strategy held at KINTEX for the first time in four years," adding, "As proven in Woori Bank’s 124-year history, this was an opportunity to once again realize that customer-centric management is the core of the path forward."
