The number of new cases on this day increased by 2,254 compared to 16,617 cases reported a week ago (on the 22nd). While the number of new cases had shown a decline in the previous day's report compared to a week earlier, it rose again on this day.
The new cases are 4,741 fewer than the 23,612 cases reported the previous day. Compared to two weeks ago on the 15th, when there were 32,559 cases, this is a decrease of 13,688. The number of deaths reported the previous day was 29, the same as the day before. The cumulative death toll stands at 33,390, with a cumulative fatality rate of 0.11%.
