Annual Fundraising Donations and Sponsorship Item Deliveries for Social Contribution Activities

On this day, members of the Gyeongbuk Harbor Workers' Union divided into teams and directly delivered the donated goods to the Eup, Myeon, and Dong administrative welfare centers, engaging in volunteer activities. The consolation goods are scheduled to be distributed to 350 vulnerable households within Pohang city.
On the 27th, the Gyeongbuk Port Labor Union visited Pohang City Hall and donated consolation goods worth approximately 18 million won to be delivered to neighbors in need.
The Gyeongbuk Harbor Workers' Union not only supports donated goods annually with funds collected from members but also provides scholarships to local students, volunteers at free meal centers, supports daycare centers, assists with kimchi-making for elderly living alone, and continuously carries out various community contribution activities.
Kim Cheol-seong, chairman of the Gyeongbuk Harbor Workers' Union, said, “We donated goods to share warmth with neighbors in need around us. We will continue to pay attention to the underprivileged and do our best to be a labor union that works together with the local community.”
Lee Kang-deok, mayor of Pohang, said, “I thank the members of the Gyeongbuk Harbor Workers' Union who show continuous interest and love for the local community every year without fail. We will carefully deliver these goods with warm hearts thinking of our neighbors so that the difficulties of the vulnerable can be alleviated.”
