Hampyeong-gun Provides 200,000 KRW Per Person for Jeonnam Youth Cultural Welfare Expenses

Applications Accepted from the 1st to the 28th of Next Month

For Youth Aged 19-28 Who Have Lived in the Province for Over 2 Years

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Chunsu Kim] Hampyeong County is joining forces with Jeonnam Province to support cultural and leisure activities for local youth.


On the 27th, the county announced that it will implement the ‘Jeonnam Youth Cultural Welfare Card’ support project, which provides 200,000 KRW per year in cultural welfare funds per youth.


The ‘Jeonnam Youth Cultural Welfare Card’ project aims to help young people settle in the region by offering opportunities for cultural enjoyment and self-development.


The support targets youth aged 19 to 28 (born between 1995 and 2004) who have had an address in Jeonnam Province and have lived there for more than two years since February 1, 2021.

However, public institution employees receiving welfare points (cards), recipients of the ‘Out-of-School Youth Education Allowance’, and beneficiaries of the ‘Jeonnam Women Farmers and Fishermen Voucher’ are excluded.


Those eligible for the ‘Cultural Nuri Card’ will receive only the difference of 90,000 KRW excluding the Cultural Nuri funds.


The application period is from the 1st to the 28th of next month, and applications can be submitted through the Nonghyup Card website or by visiting the local town or township office of the applicant’s address.


After verifying eligibility, the card is expected to be issued in April, and the usage period is until the end of this year. It can be used for cultural and leisure activities such as performances, exhibitions, books, music, and tourism within Jeonnam Province.
