At the inauguration ceremony, two university students participating in a public service experience presented the new Deputy Governor, who became a Gangjin citizen, with a ‘Gangjin Citizen ID’ and a specialized food item ‘Gangjin Book Bread’ engraved with the representative works of Dasan as a welcoming gift.

They expressed their hope that Deputy Governor Seo would lead the Gangjin administration based on the creativity and integrity spirit of Dasan Jeong Yak-yong, a figure ahead of his time.

Deputy Governor Seo is from Mongtan-myeon, Muan-gun, and began his public service career in 1989 at Muan-gun. He is an administrative expert who has held key positions in Jeollanam-do, including Head of the Safety General Team, Director of the Energy New Industry Division, and Director of the Agricultural Policy Division.

Gangjin-gun expects that Deputy Governor Seo’s extensive field experience and communication skills within the organization will play a significant role in achieving the ‘miracle of Gangjin’ where population and jobs increase.
