New Courses Opened: Urban Farming, Salsa Dance, and More
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] The Lifelong Education Center of Mokpo National University (President Song Ha-cheol), led by Director Lee Jin-hyung, will recruit students for the 2023 first semester lifelong education courses from the 30th of this month until the 24th of next month.
According to the Lifelong Education Center on the 27th, 2,864 students completed 271 courses over the past year, and true to its established reputation, it has gained great popularity among students through excellent instructors and practice-oriented lectures.
The recruitment courses cover a total of 171 educational programs across six fields: humanities and social sciences, foreign languages, health and sports, counseling and child and youth, computer information, and culture and arts.
Especially this semester, new courses such as △Urban Farming △Enhancing My Child's Creativity △Overseas Purchasing Agent Startup Course △Salsa Dance △Senior Customized Exercise Instructor △Health Gymnastics Meditation Breathing △Piano have been newly established, broadening the range of choices for students.
There are no qualification restrictions for enrollment, and students are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis for each course. Various tuition fee discounts (10?50%) are provided for seniors (65 years and older), persons with disabilities, basic livelihood security recipients, and re-enrollees. Tuition payment is also possible using the Lifelong Education Voucher Card.
This first semester education will be conducted over a total of 15 weeks from March 6 to June 17, and students who complete the courses will be issued a certificate of completion in the name of the President of Mokpo National University.
Director Lee Jin-hyung of the Lifelong Education Center stated, “As a reliable lifelong learning partner for local residents, we have created a safe educational environment and continuously operated high-quality educational programs,” and added, “We will continue to do our best to open and operate various lectures that meet the lifelong learning needs of local residents.”
