[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Prospective Jeonnam firefighters contributed to stabilizing the blood supply through a group blood donation.
The Jeonnam Fire Headquarters (Chief Kim Joil) announced on the 26th that they conducted a group blood donation at the headquarters and Jeonnam Fire School.
Amid recent consecutive winter cold waves and the overlapping Lunar New Year holidays, which made blood supply difficult, new trainees and staff united their efforts to carry out the event.
The blood donation was conducted strictly following infection prevention guidelines such as hand sanitization, wearing masks, disinfecting the blood donation bus, and maintaining distance between participants.
The trainees who participated in the blood donation entered the Fire School on September 19 of last year, have undergone 19 weeks of firefighting training, and are prospective firefighters about to graduate.
They expressed their intention to work towards spreading the culture of blood donation through love and sharing.
Chief Kim Joil said, "I am grateful to the trainees and staff who participated in this meaningful blood donation event in the Year of the Rabbit, and I hope this blood donation event will help alleviate the winter shortage of blood supply even a little."
Meanwhile, Jeonnam Fire regularly holds blood donation events every year.
