Refreshing 'Alddalddal' Strawberry Beer from Miryang Released

100% Milyang Strawberries Used, Sold Nationwide at CU Convenience Stores

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Wook] Miryang City, Gyeongnam Province, will launch a strawberry beer in February in collaboration with the premium strawberry brand ‘Honggwa Okjo’.

Honggwa Okjo is Korea’s first premium strawberry brand, which developed strawberry beer and strawberry seltzer using excellent strawberries supplied from Miryang City, the birthplace of strawberry cultivation in Korea. The reason Honggwa Okjo, which only handles the finest strawberries, chose Miryang City is because Miryang is the premium first strawberry cultivation site in Korea.

The strawberry beer brand name is Al Tal Tal (Alttalttal), named to mean “a little tipsy” by putting strawberries twice. Unlike existing fruit beers that add flavorings, Al Tal Tal beer boasts an unusually high strawberry content (4% in strawberry beer, 8% in strawberry seltzer). Using 100% Miryang strawberries, it is expected to greatly help increase the income of strawberry farmers in Miryang City.

Al Tal Tal strawberry beer and strawberry seltzer will be first introduced at CU on the 31st and will be available at all CU convenience stores nationwide in February.

Meanwhile, as part of the strawberry rural convergence industry district project, the city is continuing strawberry beer development this year with Daekyeong University following last year. Once development is complete, it is expected to become a representative processed product using Miryang strawberries alongside Honggwa Okjo’s Al Tal Tal beer.
