Golfzon announced on the 25th that it will hold the 2023 season 'GTOUR,' a screen golf tournament with a total prize money of 1.3 billion KRW.
This season's GTOUR will begin on the 28th at Golfzon Joymaru in Daejeon with the 'Shinhan Investment Corp. GTOUR Men's Tournament Round 1 Finals.' The first round finals will have a total prize money of 70 million KRW, with the winner's prize being 15 million KRW. Up to 68 professional players will participate, including the top 5 players in the 2022 season's points ranking, last season's winners, the top 60 players from the preliminaries, 4 additional top rookies who passed the preliminaries, and invited players selected by the competition committee. After the first round, 40 players will advance to the second round through a cut-off system.
GTOUR has been held for 12 years this year. Since last year, all matches have been broadcast live on the Screen Golfzon channel, Naver, Daum Sports, and the Golfzon YouTube channel. Starting this year, the tournament will also be broadcast to eight Southeast Asian countries including Hong Kong, Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand through the SPOT channel TV and online video services (OTT).
