[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] Mega Coffee announced on the 25th that it has added ‘Oat Milk’ and ‘Decaffeinated’ to the healthy topping option ‘Time to Healthy.’
With this, the Time to Healthy topping options now include five choices: ‘Stevia,’ a healthy sweetener; ‘Almond Milk,’ a low-calorie plant-based beverage; ‘Light Vanilla Syrup,’ a reduced-sugar vanilla syrup; fiber-rich Oat Milk; and Decaffeinated, which reduces caffeine intake.
Oat Milk is an option that retains the unique mildness and sweetness of oats. It is noted as a diet-friendly product due to its high carbohydrate content and low levels of saturated fat, trans fat, and cholesterol.
Decaffeinated was launched in response to requests from consumers such as pregnant women and teenagers who are sensitive to caffeine and prefer decaffeinated products. It reduces caffeine while preserving Mega Coffee’s unique coffee flavor, making it a reasonable option for consumers aiming to reduce caffeine intake for health reasons.
Stevia is a natural sweetener option gaining attention as a sugar substitute. It enhances flavor while helping to suppress blood sugar spikes and weight gain caused by calories. Since its launch in March last year, it has enjoyed high popularity with over 500,000 cumulative sales.
Almond Milk is a low-calorie plant-based beverage rich in nutrients from almonds, characterized by its rich and nutty flavor. It is favored by consumers sensitive to dairy products as a milk alternative. Riding the popularity of the healthy pleasure trend, it has sold over 600,000 units since its launch and has established itself as a main topping option.
The reduced-sugar Light Vanilla Syrup can only be substituted in two products: Vanilla Latte and Vanilla Americano. It allows consumers to enjoy both a smooth and deep flavor while lowering sugar content, making it an ideal drink for those who cannot give up sweetness.
A Mega Coffee representative said, “Recently, consumers have shown great interest in improving the quality of healthy living through trends like healthy pleasure and wellness,” adding, “We will continue to develop various low-spec products to present a balanced lifestyle that satisfies diverse consumer preferences.”
