Dongjak-gu Supports Eco-friendly Ingredients for Daycare Center Menus

Expansion of Support for Infant and Toddler Meal and Snack Expenses at Daycare Centers... Providing High-Quality Meals

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Dongjak-gu (Mayor Park Ilha) provides the 'Dongjak-style Children's Menu' to local children's meal centers and supports eco-friendly ingredients.

In September last year, the Dongjak-gu Children's Meal Management Support Center developed the healthy and delicious 'Dongjak-style Children's Menu' by understanding the characteristics of the district and children's dietary habits.

On the 15th of every month, the 'Dongjak-style Children's Menu,' composed of eco-friendly ingredients, along with recipes, will be provided to about 170 children's meal centers such as daycare centers and kindergartens in the district that do not have nutritionists.

Additionally, starting this year, the Children's Meal Management Support Center has selected five eco-friendly ingredients including ▲organic rice ▲antibiotic-free chicken, pork, and eggs ▲domestic Non-GMO tofu, and will guide local daycare centers and kindergartens on purchasing these ingredients.

All ingredients are carefully inspected and delivered through the Dongjak-gu Public Meal Center and joint purchase ingredient suppliers to ensure that growing children can safely consume fresh food.

In particular, from this year, the district has expanded support for infant and toddler meal and snack expenses at daycare centers, increasing the monthly amount from 13,000 KRW to 20,000 KRW, providing high-quality eco-friendly meals.
