[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Yuanta Securities analyzed on the 20th that Intecplus's overseas expansion of secondary battery inspection equipment will act as an opportunity factor.

Intecplus is a company manufacturing automated inspection equipment based on machine vision technology.

Researcher Kwon Myungjun of Yuanta Securities stated in a report on the same day, "Top-tier domestic secondary battery companies are expanding their factories," and added, "Intecplus has experience supplying to domestic secondary battery companies, so stable sales generation is expected along with the possibility of future expansion to overseas companies."

Researcher Kwon also said, "In addition to secondary batteries, the market for equipment inspecting electric vehicle parts is expected to grow," and predicted that "this will act as an opportunity factor."

The semiconductor inspection equipment business is expected to grow steadily. Researcher Kwon said, "Although there are concerns due to the semiconductor market slowdown for the first division's semiconductor packaging inspection equipment, plans are in place to respond through new sales channels," and added, "The second division's FC-BGA inspection equipment is expected to continue growing this year as domestic and international companies related to FC-BGA have planned investments."

He also stated, "Through last year's investment, production capacity (CAPA) expanded to 200 billion KRW," and forecasted, "With the effect of CAPA expansion internalizing outsourced production, profit margins will improve, enabling response to short delivery orders, and the expansion effect will start in earnest from 2023."

Furthermore, he added, "This year's expected sales and operating profit are 144 billion KRW and 28.4 billion KRW, representing growth of 18.0% and 46.4% compared to the previous year," and said, "Growth is expected due to the expansion of orders for secondary battery inspection equipment based on stable sales of the existing core businesses, semiconductor packaging inspection equipment and FC-BGA substrate inspection equipment."
