Kim In-kyung, Shin Ji-eun, Lee Min-young, and Sung Yoo-jin Also Renew Contracts
Hanwha Q CELLS Golf Team signed Kim Ah-rim (photo) on the 19th.
Kim Ah-rim debuted on the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour in 2016, achieving a total of 3 wins, and won the 2020 US Women's Open, which led her to join the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) Tour the following year. In 2022, Kim participated in 29 LPGA Tour events and finished in the 'Top 10' four times. She ranked 5th in average driving distance (274.74 yards) and 12th in greens in regulation (74.37%). Last year, she claimed the title at the major KLPGA event, the Chris F&C 44th KLPGA Championship.
Kim Ah-rim expressed, "It is an honor to become a member of a golf team with a long-standing reputation," adding, "I want to repay the fans and the golf team's expectations with good results."
Hanwha Q CELLS Golf Team also renewed contracts with Kim In-kyung, Shin Ji-eun, Sung Yu-jin, and Lee Min-young. The team is composed of a total of nine players, including existing sponsored players Ji Eun-hee, Lee Jung-min, Kim Ji-young 2, and Heo Da-bin. Hanwha Q CELLS Golf Team supports its players by managing their condition and training to help them achieve excellent results.
Hanwha Group began sponsoring female golf players in 2011 under the name Hanwha Golf Team. Since 2018, the management of the golf team has been aligned with Hanwha Q CELLS' global market strategy. Up to last year, the team has achieved 22 wins on the LPGA Tour, 15 wins on the KLPGA Tour, 6 wins on the Japan Ladies Professional Golf Association (JLPGA) Tour, and 3 wins on the Ladies European Tour (LET).
