Hapcheon-gun Actively Promotes New Systems Changing from This Year

A Total of 7 Areas Including Gyeongnam Province Policies

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam Province announced on the 19th that it will organize and post on the Hapcheon-gun website the systems and policies that will change starting this year for easy access at a glance.


The website includes a total of 87 items across 7 fields: ▲8 items in daily life and taxation including Gyeongnam Province policies ▲9 items in startup and employment ▲21 items in social welfare and health ▲15 items in women, family, and education ▲14 items in housing and transportation ▲9 items in agriculture, forestry, and livestock ▲11 items in culture, tourism, and environment.


First, in the daily life and taxation field, the existing real estate acquisition tax base has been changed to the actual transaction price to reflect fair taxation. In particular, starting this year, the ‘Hometown Love Donation System’ is being fully implemented, allowing individuals to donate up to 5 million KRW annually to local governments nationwide other than their registered address, with tax deductions by amount and benefits of return gifts within 30% of the donation amount in local specialties.

In the startup and employment field, to strengthen the competitiveness of local small business owners in the digital economy era, support for purchasing business digital devices such as waiting boards, kiosks, and smart orders will be promoted.


In the social welfare and health field, the emergency welfare living support fund unit for low-income households has been increased by about 83,000 KRW for a family of four, and disability pensions and disability allowances have also been slightly increased considering inflation to strengthen income support.


In the women, family, and education field, to create a better environment for raising children, the ‘Hapcheon-gun Daycare Admission Preparation Fund Support Project’ will be implemented, providing 95,000 KRW per child upon daycare registration.


In the housing and transportation field, a ‘Smart Village Broadcasting’ system will be established to provide rapid administrative information through village broadcasts accessible anytime and anywhere to local village residents.


In the agriculture, forestry, and livestock field, the requirements for farmland eligible for the basic public interest direct payment system have been relaxed, allowing local farmers who meet the basic qualifications to receive direct payments starting in May.


In the culture, tourism, and environment field, the support for disabled sports class usage vouchers has been expanded, increasing the monthly amount by 95,000 KRW and extending the support period from 10 months to 12 months.


Mayor Kim Yoon-cheol said, “We will make thorough preparations for the implementation of the new systems starting this year and actively promote through the county website and town offices so that residents can enjoy various benefits from the new policies and are not left out of information.”
