[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] At around 10:48 PM on the 17th, a fire broke out at a plastic manufacturing factory in Sangbuk-myeon, Yangsan-si, Gyeongnam.
According to the Gyeongnam Fire Headquarters on the 18th, a driver passing near the factory by car discovered the flames and reported it to 119.
At the scene, 32 vehicles including fire trucks and ambulances, and 114 firefighters were deployed, and the fire was extinguished at around 3:51 AM on the 18th.
The fire burned down two entire factory buildings and parts of nearby factories, causing property damage estimated by the fire department at approximately 186,364,000 KRW, but there were no casualties.
The fire and police authorities are investigating the exact cause of the fire based on witness statements and on-site inspections.
