On the 17th, Governor Lee visited Goseong-gun Baseball Stadium, followed by the National Sports Center, Indoor Gymnasium, and Sports Town, encouraging the coaches, athletes, and officials of baseball, volleyball, taekwondo, and soccer who were passionately training.
Lee Sang-geun, Governor of Goseong County, Gyeongnam, met with the athletes and sports officials who visited Goseong County for winter training camp to encourage them.
Governor Lee said, “I sincerely welcome the training teams who have come to Goseong-gun, and we will strive to ensure that the teams have no inconvenience during their training,” adding, “I hope the sweat shed in Goseong-gun will lead to good results this year.”
Goseong-gun is attracting attention as a winter training destination visited by many teams nationwide every year, based on its mild climate throughout the four seasons, continuous facility development, and active sports marketing.
During the two months of January and February, more than 120 teams and over 2,000 people from seven sports including soccer, volleyball, and baseball are expected to visit Goseong-gun for the 2023 season winter training camp, significantly revitalizing the local economy.
