One representative per household can apply online or by visiting the administrative welfare center of their address. Once the application is completed, 300,000 KRW per person will be paid in cash to the household’s bank account within two weeks.

Online applications can be submitted starting February 15 via the Gijang-gun Office website or the dedicated Gijang-type Disaster Basic Income site.

In-person applications can be made from February 22 at the administrative welfare centers in the applicant’s town or township. When applying in person, applicants must submit the application form, an ID such as a resident registration card, driver’s license, or passport, and a copy of their bankbook.

To avoid congestion during applications, a 5-day rotation system based on the last digit of the head of household’s birth year will be applied until March 8.

The last digit of the head of household’s birth year corresponds to the following days: ▲ ‘1, 6’ on Monday ▲ ‘2, 7’ on Tuesday ▲ ‘3, 8’ on Wednesday ▲ ‘4, 9’ on Thursday ▲ ‘5, 0’ on Friday. On weekends, anyone can apply online regardless of the rotation system.

County Governor Jeong Jong-bok said, “With the payment of the 3rd Gijang-type Disaster Basic Income, I hope residents will hold onto hope and make a strong start to the new year despite the difficult economic situation,” and added, “Please use the support funds within our local area to revitalize the regional economy.”

On the 9th, Gijang-gun decided to provide the 3rd disaster basic income of 300,000 KRW per person to all residents to support overcoming the economic difficulties caused by the prolonged COVID-19 disaster situation and to stimulate the stagnant local economy.
