[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Gyumin] Hyundai Mobis announced a new slogan on the 17th to transform from an auto parts company into a future mobility leading enterprise. The slogan is "The One for all mobility," meaning "Tomorrow's mobility encompassing every moment of movement."
On the 17th, Hyundai Mobis President Cho Seonghwan stated at the CEO Townhall Meeting, “We are unveiling a new brand identity (BI) to leap forward as a mobility-specialized company providing software-centric integrated platforms.” This signifies offering integrated solutions combining flawless quality software and optimized semiconductors.
Earlier, on the 5th, Hyundai Mobis revealed its New Mobis Vision at CES 2023, the world's largest electronics and IT exhibition, declaring its leap to a software-centered mobility specialist company. The company name ‘MOBIS’ was newly defined as ‘MObility Beyond Integrated Solution.’
They also announced this year’s business operation direction as ‘Securing competitiveness in future mobility business.’ To strengthen core technology competitiveness such as electrification and next-generation modules, they will enhance software development and strategic semiconductor business capabilities. They plan to increase core parts orders by 10% compared to last year and expressed their intention to secure new business development capabilities in urban air mobility (UAM), robotics, and other fields.
The management policy presented three key words: ‘Talent-centered, autonomous execution, future leadership.’ President Cho explained that they will discover talented individuals and support their self-directed growth to develop expertise. He added, “We will operate the organization by improving work methods such as establishing hybrid work environments including hub offices and strengthening communication and collaboration.”
As two pillars supporting business structure improvement, ‘strengthening profitability-based management’ and ‘proactive risk response’ were mentioned. Hyundai Mobis judged that although the global economic downturn is intensifying, it is necessary to take this as an opportunity to improve business structure and strengthen sound management.
