[Asia Economy Reporter Donghoon Jeong] Hyosung TNS announced on the 17th that it will launch 'NFTtown,' a specialized portal service for non-fungible tokens (NFTs), as a new business.
At NFTtown, users can view all information related to NFTs, including news and NFT transaction status, at a glance. To make NFTs, which can feel difficult, more accessible, the platform is designed under the concept that users visit a 'town,' and is divided into sections such as Gallery (NFT artworks), Library (NFT creator information lookup), and School (NFT learning content). The NFT Today section also provides the latest news.
The service is currently in open beta and is scheduled to officially open in February.
Hyosung TNS plans to expand its business scope from its existing financial automation machine (ATM) service to digital asset services such as NFTs based on NFTtown.
To this end, after officially launching NFTtown, the company plans to introduce a dedicated NFTtown mobile app and a Web3 wallet service that enables digital asset transactions.
Hyun-sik Son, CEO of Hyosung TNS, stated, "We will apply Hyosung TNS's financial IT operation know-how to NFTtown to enhance customers' accessibility and utilization of NFTs," adding, "We will actively strive to lead the revitalization of the NFT market."
Meanwhile, Hyosung TNS is actively forming partnerships with other services to promote NFTtown. In December, it expanded its NFT business by partnering with blockchain Web3.0 specialized companies and NFT project teams.
