Strong Sales Growth Rivaling Sseuk Day
SSG.com announced on the 17th that it successfully concluded the 'Beauty Ssuk Sale' event held from the 9th to the 15th, recording a surprising strong performance.
The beauty sales on the first and second days of the event exceeded those achieved during Ssuk Day, the Shinsegae Group's largest annual event, and overall beauty sales during the event period increased by 225% compared to the same period last year. The cumulative sales volume also reached approximately 200,000 units, indicating that about 20 products were sold per minute.
The Ssuk Sale hosted by SSG.com is an event that selects a category and offers customer benefits at the level of Ssuk Day, the Shinsegae Group's largest annual event, with the Beauty Ssuk Sale as its starting point. It was prepared on the largest scale since the company's founding for a single-item event, with about 300 sellers and around 10,000 benefit-applied products.
SSG.com stated, "The effectiveness came from focusing on discovering unique planned products and enhancing tangible customer benefits such as increased volume, free gifts, and price discounts."
There was a high purchase rate of luxury cosmetics planned products prepared for the Beauty Ssuk Sale. Essence and serum sales were the highest, followed by cream, foundation, lip products, and sun care. Popular items included exclusive planned products such as Est?e Lauder Advanced Night Repair 50ml, SK-II Facial Treatment Essence, SK-II Clear Lotion Ssuk Sale sets, and Lanc?me UV Expert 50ml sets. The 'Time Deal' held daily at 10 a.m. also received a strong response.
On its own live commerce channel Ssuk Live (SSG.LIVE), a total of seven beauty live broadcasts were conducted in relay format. Brands like Sulwhasoo and Lanc?me achieved sales exceeding 100 million won during one-hour broadcasts, setting the highest sales records for brand broadcasts held on Ssuk.com to date.
