[Muan＝Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Oh Hwanju] Muan County, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) has created a 'Smart Garden' through a facade greening project on the wall of the performance hall at the Namak Complex Community Center located in Namak New Town.

According to the county on the 16th, this project was selected and promoted through the Urban Agriculture Space Creation Contest hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, and plants with excellent air purification abilities such as Snow Sapphire, Anthurium, and Hong Kong Palm were planted.

The Smart Garden is a new type of nature-friendly indoor garden that utilizes the Internet of Things (IoT) to provide healing and relaxation effects. The installed Smart Garden combines indoor air-purifying plants with an automatic watering system, allowing enjoyment of a four-season garden, and through a monitor, fine dust, humidity, temperature, and other conditions before and after installation can be checked at any time.

In particular, the greenery on the wall is beautiful and is expected to greatly help the psychological stability of residents exhausted by COVID-19 and also serve as a popular photo zone.

Governor Kim San said, "I hope that the green freshness and indoor air purification in the public building will be used as a healing space for all citizens and visitors who come to the performance hall."

Kang Myungsoo, head of the New Town Project Group, stated, "We plan to expand facade greening," and added, "We will do our best to create a healing space for the citizens."
